About

Agua Fresca Studios is owned and operated by Jennifer Ober with lots of help from her husband, Gregory. Jennifer and Gregory have two daughters, Helen and Coral, who are regulars around the studio as well.

Jennifer is a former public and private school teacher with a BFA in Studio Art from The University of Texas at Austin. After teaching art for 10 years in Austin, Jennifer headed to the Hill Country. In 2011 she opened her studio for classes and creative summer camps, striving to plan the kinds of camps she wishes she had attended when she was a kid. Jennifer has her Texas teaching certification in both k-12 art education and pk-6 general classroom education, and was awarded Teacher of the Year in 2007. Most recently, Jennifer helped to found projectART, a nonprofit formed to support our local art programs. As a teacher, Jennifer’s goal is to both nurture artistic talent and instill a love for the visual arts among her students through exposure to a variety of media and art history. Oh, and also to have tons and tons of FUN!

Gregory has also worked as an artist and woodworker, and co-owned The Farm art gallery in San Diego in 2003-4. Most recently Gregory has channeled his talents into creating unique vacation rentals here in Wimberley. Check them out at vacationwimberley.com.
